Given that many organizations are focusing on differentiating themselves through better customer experience, it’s no surprise that the most common AI use case in our survey was customer support or intelligent chatbots (52.4%). This was closely followed by security threat detection and response (51.8%), which we’ll explore in more detail later.
48.7% of respondents are using AI for network planning and capacity forecasting. Traditionally, capacity planning was based on historical records and patterns. These estimates struggled to predict unexpected network behavior and spikes in demand, leading to congestion, poor performance, and even outages.
This has been exacerbated by the rise of cloud, IoT, and AI, which have driven up traffic levels in ways that are often hard to predict. AI-powered solutions, on the other hand, use sophisticated algorithms that can predict capacity needs more accurately, improving network performance and cost-effectiveness.
